In Australia, one in three women has experienced physical or sexual assault in her lifetime. On average, more than one woman per week is killed by a current or former partner. This deeply disturbing fact is only one tragic part of the bigger story surrounding domestic violence.
White Ribbon, now in its 12th year, asks Australians to take a stand to end men’s violence against women by changing the attitudes and behaviours that support or excuse this violence in Australia.
Torque Toyota is proud to support White Ribbon in their fight against women abuse and to be an official sponsor of Sisterhood “White Ribbon” Night held on 28 November at the Coffe Club at Strathpine. We firmly believe in gender equality and respect, both at our workplace and outside. We want our involvement to this noble cause to reflect the power of the community to drive change. If all Australian work together we will break the silence.
